Privacy Shield AI ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.

1. Data Collection

Zero Data Collection. The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, chat history, or PII (Personally Identifiable Information) to any external servers.

2. Data Processing

100% Client-Side. All scrubbing and rehydration logic happens directly within your browser.

• PII mappings (tokens to original values) are stored locally in your browser's chrome.storage.local.
• Pro activation stores the license key locally to unlock features.
• These pieces of data never leave your device and are accessible only to the Extension.

3. Storage

The Extension stores:

• Temporary token mappings to allow rehydration.
• Local settings (site toggles, strictness, and preferences).
• Local audit log and stats (if Pro is enabled).

You can wipe all local data at any time by clicking "Wipe All Local Data" in the Extension popup.

4. Third-Party Access

The Extension does not share data with any third parties. It operates entirely offline after the initial installation.

5. Remote Code

The Extension does not load or execute remote code. All functionality is packaged within the extension.

6. Permissions

• storage: Save token mappings and local settings.
• activeTab: Scrub content in the active chat tab when you click the button.
• contextMenus: Right-click scrubbing of selected text.
• clipboardRead: Read clipboard text when you click "Scrub Clipboard".
• clipboardWrite: Write the scrubbed text back to the clipboard.
